Description Michael 2010-04-13 02:38:07 UTC
I noticed the following behaviour with firmware 7.50 and mysqueezebox.com:

1. Tune in to a radio station.

2. Set an alarm playing this exact station.

3. The alarm will fire, but fading doesn't work. It looks like the radio just continues the station, because the station was the last current playlist.

If you choose another station for wake up, or clear the playlist before, the fading will work all the time. It will also work after a snooze, even if it basically just continues the playlist.

I can reproduce it also with latest 7.5.1 nightly (local squeezeboxserver, Version: 7.5.1 - r30663, Radio Firmware: 7.5.1 v8697).

When the playlist contains the radio-station that woke me up the morning, the alarm doesn't fade in the next morning.
If I clear the playlist, fade-in works again.

It seems this bug has been 'replaced' by 16096

With 16096 it seems to be quite random and doesn't matter if you continue a playlist or not.

Sometimes the music will fade, the other day it will play for about 10 seconds on a very low volume and then suddenly jump to maximum set volume at once.

I'm still trying to reproduce it. Happens with the latest beta firmware and the latest SBS 7.60.

Fixing of this problem is being handled in bug 16096.
