Description Alice Shimmin 2010-04-12 08:03:52 UTC
I have been trying to use my Radio away from my system at home and so have been to connecting to it as a remote library by entering the public IP address of my router.

My router is a Linksys WRT54GS with latest available firmware.

The problem is what happens when I bring the Radio back home. I think the issue is that the Radio now has two IPs vaiu which to connect to the local SqueezeCenter.

1. The public IP 82.44.191.34 (yes the router allows local access via the public IP)
2. The private IP 192.168.1.7

The result of this is that every 5 seconds or so the Radio's screen shows the 'Connecting to SqueezeCenter' message with the blue circle connecting animation.

This doesn't seem to affect the streaming but does make navigating round the menus annoying as you keep getting this message pop up and interrupting you.

I can stop the problem by removing the 82.44.191.34 remote library but then , of course, the next time I take the Radio away from home I have to manually set it up again which is irritating to have to do.

It seems likely that bug 16050 is also a manifestation of this issue.
