Log from the radio

Hello,
Squeezebox server 7.4.3 running on WHS (HP MEDIASMART), the server is connected
to my NETGEAR router by ethernet and so is the squeezebox radio, server is up
24/7 (no power-safe mode).

- Set-up alarm last night to play a playlist I created called "reveil"
containing 10 songs
- Alarm set-up to ring at 7:00 AM with repeat and fade-in volume
- Fell asleep at midnight listening to the radio that was programmed to get to
sleep after 15 minutes
- Woke-up at 7 with the fallback alarm directly at full volume
- Quickly stopped the alarm and put manually the playlist to play ==>
everything worked fine.

Fallback alarm should not ring if the server is up and connected.

I'm experiencing the same issue from time to time. The alarm isn't reliable, it even didn't play at all once :-(
My SB radio is running 7.4.2-r8423 over WIFI and I posted another connectivity issue under #15919.
As a first workaround, I'd suggest to reboot the box every day.
Pascal.

Are you still experiencing this specific problem with 7.5.1?

Yes, with 7.5.1, I am still experiencing alarm issues from time to time (like before).
I've now switched to Ethernet connection.
The main difficulty is maybe to distinguish situation where the radio's server fails to respond from real SBRadio issue. That I can't tell (I haven't looked to radio's log every morning as it doesn't seem to interest support guys)
