Description fred goodman 2010-03-21 11:09:18 UTC
After introducing a transporter into my system (previously using SB3) I experienced random stopping
of play. No rebuffering, just stopping. Connection is wired. Problem never occurred with SB3.

Found a hint somewhere that this could have to do with handshaking. Default ethernet settings on Mac are 1000baseT, full duplex, flow control.

If I manually change this to 1000baseT, full duplex (no flow control), the problem ceases.

Knowing this, it becomes a fairly minor inconvenience. But most people would not know this.

This should be handled automatically at the Transporter end. Failing this, the information should be easy to find.
