Description Tormod Boga 2010-03-12 11:05:26 UTC
To include different file locations in my library, I had to create an empty directory with 3 windows shortcuts in it and use that as my library location.

This has the impact that the new auto-rescanner functionality found in 7.5-embedded branch don't work. It does not pick up changes in the 3 locations that the shortcuts point to..

Unless you plan to enable us to specify multiple directories directly in the library specification, it would be great if the auto-rescanner could be watching the shortcut'ed locations as well.

This problem was intially posted on the forums:

Yes, I see this behavior if I enable auto-rescanning.

Mickey, this is hardly a P3. Unless auto-rescanning is completely removed from the server when running on Windows, Windows shortcuts _must_ work properly.

Auto-rescan is now disabled.

Marking invalid since auto-rescan is disabled and will be rewritten anyway.
