Description Julius Dauz 2010-03-03 11:03:58 UTC
Customer has been having this issue since updating to SBS 7.4. The error logs all state that another instance of SBS is already running. Also, the Window Application Event log states the same. Attached are the SBS Server log and Event Viewer Application log.

On another note, we've also tried a clean install with both Trendmicro Internet Security installed and configured and also completely uninstalled.

Julius - with the current install base I can say for sure that this must be the computer's configuration. There are tens of thousands of installations which don't have this problem.

Either there actually is another copy running (as the message says), or one of the dozens of other apps is interfering. Even by uninstalling Trendmicro you won't have a clean system.

Try to get a process list, the output of "netstat -a", and please don't attach any binary files I need to open an application for... I can't even open the eventlog on my computer (Mac).
