Bugzilla – Bug 15810
Squeezebox duet controller continually reports firmware updates, crashes, noise
Last modified: 2019-01-25 12:05:41 UTC
Related to Squeezebox Customer Service Reference #100302-002581 I purchased a squeezebox duet in January 2010. It intermittently told me that firmware had been updated to the latest (yet same) version, upon startup. Additionally, the controller's onboard speaker would occasionally make a static pop sound when going into 'sleep' mode. All other functions seemed to work fine. I am connecting only to Rhapsody and Pandora, no squeezebox server. I contacted logitech squeezebox, who indicated it was a faulty controller. Amazon sent a replacement unit. The replacement unit exhibited the exact same symptoms. Additionally, it would occasionally crash when trying to come back from sleep mode (and perhaps when starting up). Spoke with Logitech CS, who had me go through a system reset of controller and receiver. Additionally, reinstalled latest firmware. After firmware install, received the following message: "Sorry, your device had to restart due to a system error. Is it OK if we collect diagnostic information on this issue to help us fix it?" Yes: 20100305 15:51 MST. Currently running v7.4.1 r7915 Avery Nelson 303-881-0118
