The message received when you check the server status after inserting an SD card or USB stick is a poor one. "The scanner is running but no status is currently available" It gives the impression that there is a problem. perhaps the message could be something like  "Scanning media for music files please wait..."

I agree, I think that was an original temporary string that just got left in.

Fixed Bug: 15772
Description: change EN string to "Scanning media for music files, please wait..."
note-- the upcoming fix for 15540 should actually render this string obsolete, as the spinny won't disappear until stats are available for display via scan.json

fw 8587  Yes, the screen that used to display the message is entirely skipped when you install the SD card.
