Bugzilla – Bug 15763
Pandora: After track skip limit is reached, relaunching the station restarts track
Last modified: 2010-04-08 17:24:53 UTC
If I exhaust the skip limit on a track, then exit the station and come back to it, it replays the last track from the beginning. This is not allowed since it violates our licensing restrictions for song-on-demand. If resuming the track from where it left off is not possible, then you should play the next track automatically when selecting the station again.
You must spend less than 10 seconds on the 2nd station in order for this bug to be reproducible.
1) Play 1st Pandora station 2) Listen to "Darn That Dream" by Nancy Wilson for ANY AMOUNT OF TIME 3) Switch to 2nd Pandora station 4) Listen to "Brown Shuga" by Sir Mix-A-Lot for LESS THAN 10 SECONDS 5) Switch back to original station 6) Note "Darn That Dream" begins playing over again The duration of the first song doesn't matter, only the intermediate song. So the problem is theoretically you could listen to "Darn That Dream" from beginning nearly to the end any number of times.
FYI the original bug where this feature was implemented is bug 8781.
Looks like this was broken by the fix for bug 10488.
