Description stevejm29 2010-02-21 06:44:19 UTC
I like to see 2 enhancements for the alarms.

1) I like to be able to set the "Global Alarm Settings" different for each alarm instead of the current global settings.

2) Also I like to have a Timer ON and Timer OFF feature.

Part 1 I think is covered by bug 9329.

Please describe what you mean by Timer ON and Timer OFF. Are you referring to the global alarm on/off or the timeout for each alarm? Setting the Alarm Timeout to zero means the alarm will continue until there is user interaction.

Where is the Alarm Timeout for TinySC? I see it when I'm connected to mysqueezebox.com, but if I connect the SBRadio to the Touch, I cannot see where to set the Alarm Timeout.

Many of the server prefs are not accessible when using the SBTouch as the music source. They settings do still exist, but the method for altering them involves using ssh to log into the device remotely and edit the prefs file each time you update the firmware. Exposing that in the Touch UI would nto be covered in this request as it flags only MySB. The Timeout feature is settable in that interface.

Thanks. I don't mind using ssh. Can you point me to where I can see the Alarm Timeout Setting? (and do I edit the pref file on the SBRadio or the Touch?)

ssh -l root <ip of sbtouch>
cd /etc/squeezecenter/prefs
vi server.prefs

change alarmTimeoutSeconds from the default of 3600 to whatever you prefer for the appropriate player (look for the matching MAC address).

restarting the Touch after that should work for the player then connected to the Touch as the music source.
