Image Viewer: Simpler path selection to choose which folder to use for IV pics
Last modified: 2016-11-27 21:01:19 UTC
USB and SD currently need :/media/xxmdf45ddn type input for selecting the source file. This is very cryptic to the average user and invites typing errors I think many users (who utilize the IV) would likely have numerous folders of pics on the USB and SD card, but may want just a a particular folder being displayed at different times. Any way to get TinySC to see basic folder structure for pic source? Like TinySC does for Music Folders?
== Auto-comment from SVN commit #8530 to the repo by mherger == == https://svn.slimdevices.com/?view=revision&revision=8530 == Bug: 15734 (partially) Description: add "USB disk" and "SD card" as sources for the ImageViewer. They're subclasses of the local storage class, using whatever mountpoint one of these media is mounted. If user decides to edit the path for USB or SD, the source is changed to "local storage", with the mount point as the path. This allows for easier sub-folder definition when the exact mount point isn't known.
Toby - that's probably as good as it gets for 7.5.0: if you want some specific folder, select the media type from the image source setting, then edit the path to point to your particular folder. The USB/SD sources help you define the mountpoint which otherwise is rather obscure to find and set. Please give it a try. Post 7.5 we might consider a real filesystem browser. But this will be a major effort.
