example:  While IV is doing it's slide show I want to stop the IV on a particular pic.

Maybe the right arrow on remote to Pause & un-Pause pics?
The right arrow on the IR remote currently has two functions, but both functions are duplicated elsewhere:
-  advance to next pic (duplicate of UP arrow)
-  bring up the IV context menu for that pic (duplicate of the "+" button)

Where to include a Pause/un-Pause on the touch screen I don't know.
