Description Tony Taylor 2010-02-18 10:12:08 UTC
A bug was reported in Oct 2009 by me and numerous others which was that since an update in the firmware, it was no longer possible to set fovorites on the remote (duet) when using the squeezenetwork without my computer being on. This bug appears to be unchanged. I am quite surprised as slimsystems used to solve bugs very quickly. This is quite an inconvenience. When using the server with my computer on, it is still possible to assign and delete favorites. I can also add favorites for the squeezenetwork on the computer but not using the remote as I could originally. As this bug was not there originally and was introduced in the fall, I cannot understand why it has not been resolved.

can you post repeatable steps to replicate the bug, or please contact support as this is NO longer a direct line to devs. it is a bug tracker only, so complaining isn't useful or even helpful toward your own goals.

Thr recent update to the server has eliminated this bug. However, I had to find this out the hard way when the remote's behavior changed re changing network / My Music. It was then that I discovered via your web-site that the server had changed and that how to add favorites had also changed i.e. it now works after I ran the update. I would have thought that I would have been notified by e-mail about such changes, given that I (and numerous others) had raised the issue. Changing the way the system works without any notification is not satisfactory and just plain bad manners, not to mention bad business.
