Description Finn Brodersen 2010-02-03 09:41:03 UTC
When eating I am normally having the SBC laying on the table. Within a minute or two the display goes black to conserve battery, this is ok and expected behaviour

but ..

it only take the force of putting a glass on the table to "wake-up" the display up again.

Maybe it is possible to introduce a timer on the g-sensors, so you need to activate the sensors for say 0.7sec to eliminate short, but big, spikes.

Hi Finn, what firmware version are you seeing this with? Some changes have been made over time.

The fix you propose may not be possible since we don't analyze the accelerometer while in 'suspend' mode. Instead we set a threshhold in the accelerometer part, and it sends an interrupt which we use to wake up.

the SBC is running 7.4.1 r7915

I do not know whether the SBC is in "suspend" mode or not. The display is off, but the SBC wakes up very quickly, to me it seems like the only action is to activate the display.

Ah if it wakes up quickly then we haven't suspended yet. I'll leave this open and check it periodically for votes.
