If you try to save a play list for content on the SD card there is no result. no playlist is made

How are you saving the playlist?

from my music selected a random mix. Pressed the list icon (upper right) the song list is displayed moved the  slider to the bottom of the list. Selected the Save playlistoption. Gave it a name in the text entr screen and pressed done.

Went back to look for it from My Music Playlists  displays "Empty"

This goes along with the root-level 'playlists' folder, we can create the 
folder if it doesn't exist.

Fixed bug 15580, set playlistdir and create root-level Playlists dir if necessary
