Description Joerg Schwieder 2010-01-28 01:36:03 UTC
Rationale: There must be a lot of service requests to remove a player from MySB after it has been sold or when people lost credentials.

I'm seeing the same on iPeng.

So here's the request:
- MySB should always present a menu option "Remove Player from MySB".
- At least for SP-based players
- Please enable this menu even if NO player is connected (just a controller) so that it will also work with iPeng.

Hi Joerg,

There's a strong opinion within Logitech that our menus are already too complicated, so we have attempted to solve this problem by putting a flag in the firmware that is set when a factory reset takes place. The next time the unit is connected to MySB, it inquires whether the old user is still correct, or if it should be assigned to a new user.

That doesn't fix your problem. However, there might be some part of that mechanism that might be useful to you.

The bug is correctly assigned to Andy so he can comment if something occurs to him. I'm not going to target it yet.

Is there a way how I can manually trigger this, e.g. upon iPeng re-install?
