The AutoRescan module doesn't handle external importers?
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2010-01-18 08:46:34 UTC
Same goes for iTunes.
Comment 2 Erland Isaksson 2010-01-29 23:50:21 UTC
If you changes anything how importers are launched/loaded in the scanner, please consider a solution where any third party plugin can be hooked in.

I did a patch for this some time ago in bug #6023
- The "Patch for pluggable scaning modules" patch file

I've no idea if it still works.
However, it would be REALLY GREAT if it would be possible to run third party scanner plugins.

Also seeing this with Windows (Vista and XP), as discussed here:

Bug 15484, check MIP status for new/changed tracks during in-process rescan
Comment 5 Andy Grundman 2010-02-10 08:27:51 UTC
Erland I agree it kind of sucks the way MIP and iTunes importers are hardcoded. I will see if it's easy to fix this.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2010-03-08 11:17:19 UTC
Moving P3 and lower bugs to next release target
Comment 7 Michael Herger 2010-06-18 00:55:38 UTC
MIP working in 7.6.
