The Radio Needs Tone Controlls , yes it does.

Bass and treble would do nice or a 5 band eq would be excellent.

There is a lot of forum noise about tone controlls in various treads, not all of them titled tone controls or similar.

However none of these people seems to be willing to use bugzilla, they write 2 posts whine and sell the radio and get something else. So you never notice.

But here it is an proper enhancement request for tone controlls.
Now it wont drown in the forum noise

I have a boom and I it has tone controlls, the boom and radio is in that kind of product category where tone controlls are standard mo and everybody expects them.

Does not the Radio share some DSP stuff with boom ? why not the tone controlls ?

Actually some very well-regarded (eg Tivoli) or popular (eg Bose) products in this category do *not* have tone controls, so this could be a nice point of differentiation for the SB Radio.

It would certainly be more difficult for the Radio since it doesn't have a dedicated DSP for such things.

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.

I'd welcome the opportunity to engage a smidgeon of bass cut occasionally. Some programmes do seem to overemphasize the male voice.

The audio codec (TLV320AIC3104 ?) does appear to have some sort of filtering capability within it. Could that be employed, if an alsa capability is not available ?
