I own a SB3 on which you can set three different brightness
- Power On
- Power Off
- Idle

That's very convenient so you can have a very bright display when the SB is on while using a very dark display when the SB if off...

With the SB Radio, there is only one setting and it is really annoying. I bought it to use as an alarm clock/bedside table but without the three different brightness settings, it lacks a core feature.
For instance, I have the setting to 95% brightness to see very well the album arts, etc. but it is impossible to sleep SB radio off display the clock on black background @ 95% brightness... It is like a bedside lamp :( So I have to every single time change the brightness before on/off the radio.

You may answer, use automatic setting but it remains way to dark all the time.

I hope this bug will be sorted as it is sad to see that a newer (and excellent) product is lacking such an important/useful feature that was available in the past...

Felix notes that the auto-brightness in the 7.5 beta release may improve what you are seeing.

I will use this and other brightness-related bugs to create a DVT test on brightness/auto-dimming-behavior.

Just to clarify Comment #1:

7.5 adds a _minimal_ auto-brightness setting (similar as in SB Boom).
