Running firmware 7.4.2-r8264 I have the alarm volume set much lower than my normal listening volume. Alarms are set to fade in. When the alarm goes off, it starts with half a second at the normal volume. Only then the fade in to the alarm volume begins.

This happens both with a radio station stream and local mp3s.
