Description Rob Chelseth 2010-01-04 00:21:19 UTC
For several days I have been [1] unable to connect my Boom & SB3 to MySB.com - both go through all the steps, then hang up at the "connecting" stage. I can reach MySB.com via the SqueezeSever [v.7.4.1] and both the Boom & SB3 show the stream name and what's now playing, but absolutely no sound is available!

Both devices and all streams were working fine 2 weeks ago here in Shanghai, China. I do not think it's a fire wall problem. I see no problem and have made no changes to the previously working setup.

We're not experiencing any problems with MySB that would cause this. The fact that HTTP requests from SBS work while slimproto connections don't lead me to believe the Great Firewall could be blocking all non-port-80 traffic or something like that.

Can you telnet to www.mysqueezebox.com port 3483?

Running Vista - don't see Telenet on my Dell XPS M1530. Still no sound and
unable to connect to MySB.com.

Hi Andy,

Turned out our apartment building here in Shanghai installed new routers
over the holidays without informing anyone. Once they entered the MAC
addresses for my Boom and SB3 - everything returned to normal.

Thanks for looking into this though,

Rob
