Bugzilla – Bug 15391
Too much whining after months of beta, startup and refresh of server
Last modified: 2016-11-27 21:10:36 UTC
I know, its beta, but the startup and install scripts really should be given a once-over for cleanup. I've been watching this message: Making sure that Squeezebox Server is not running first: No squeezeboxserve found running; none killed. since early in 2008 when the name changed. It really should be fixed before 7.5 is released. root@beatles:/home/pfarrell# apt-get upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... KDF, could you go ahead and commit this? We looked it over in the bug meeting and it seems fine.

Can you confirm this works for you guys? Ben was having some issues with this today that may be related to this change.
Just checked. Not sure when KDF's fixes will make it into the nightlies. But today, Feb 19, its not there. Setting up squeezeboxserver (7.5.0~30209) ... Installing new version of config file /etc/squeezeboxserver/types.conf ... Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/squeezeboxserver ... Making sure that Squeezebox Server is not running first: No squeezeboxserver_s found running; none killed. Starting Squeezebox Server.
I suspect it may use the older version of the script to stop before it updates to the new and restarts. The change should be there for 30209 whether you have trunk or embedded 7.5.
