Bugzilla – Bug 15370
SB Classic language setting Finnish is not stored over power down/up of 15 minutes
Last modified: 2010-03-04 21:38:31 UTC
Dear Squeezebox team, I would like to report one issue with the Logutech Squeezebox Classic - because I think there may be a bug with the firmware 130. Every time configuring the unit to "speak" Finnish (Suomi) thru the SB user interface - an after unplugging the power cord, the units seems to convert back to English. This is repeatable phenomenon and can be repeated 100% with my unit following the sequence described below. In other words, seems like the language setting is not stored properly. The setting is stored for the stand-by, but the real power down / power up sequence makes the language setting disappearing. I believe this may have appeared first time with firmware 130 - because the issue has been therere one/two/three months. I propose the following test: * Convert English SB Classic to Finnish/"Suomi" (firmware 130) * Power down the unit for e.g. 15min...30min * Power on and check whether the Finnish language is there still on the screen Please let me know if I can so some further tests for you to solve this issue. Rgrds, Henrik
SB Classic is SB 3, rather than the Receiver.
I could not reproduce this. Are you sure you actually selected Suomi? You need to hit the right arrow, or else the UI will still be in a sort of language preview mode, and won't have saved the actual selection.
Dear Chris, I can confirm today that I reproduced this morning the issue with my SB. Firmware 120. * I was running it in English. * I went to the configuration menu, selected Suomi and confirmed it by the right click and I saw the dot appearing in the middle of the circle * I exited from the menu and started listening 30sec some channel * Real power off about 11 minutes (non electricity) * After power up, the normal sequence in English, Wellcome to Squeezebox... * And the unit talks again English If you want me to capture that in a video - pls let me know. Rgrds, Henruj
