Description Daniel Barrett 2009-12-21 15:39:40 UTC
The existing feature to password-protect your Squeezebox Server is too broad. It would be really helpful to password-protect the only most sensitive area of the site, "Server Settings", without protecting the whole site. This would allow nontechnical users to control Squeezebox playback via the web, but not (say) install or remove plugins or change critical server settings.

Not a solution, but a workaround: http://www.herger.net/NoSetup
Comment 2 Daniel Barrett 2009-12-22 11:45:26 UTC
Thanks for the suggestion to try NoSetup. Unfortunately it does not protect access to settings... it merely removes the Settings link from the web UI. You can still access settings directly by URL.
