Description RTBoyce 2009-12-17 15:34:40 UTC
Two folders, called Folder 1 and Folder 2. Each contains a single mp3 file plus a shortcut to the other folder.

Now browse using the Music Folder menu option. As long as the server notices no change in the files, browsing works, even following the shortcuts.

Make a change such as renaming one of the mp3 files, and then try to navigate through the folder with the changed file. The server will become CPU-bound, unresponsive and will consume more and more memory until the SQUEEZE~3 process is killed in Windows Task Manager.

After killing and restarting the server, browsing works fine until the next file change.

I realise that my use of circular shortcuts is unusual. However, I've read in the forum that there is already some loop detection in the system. It probably needs to be tweaked.
