Description Dave Nanian 2004-01-19 11:18:17 UTC
When running the latest SlimServer on an OS X 10.3.2 server, the mDNS process
seems to prevent other Rendezvous processes from advertising properly. After
some time, typically less than 3 hours, all Rendezvous advertisements stop.

Stopping the SlimServer and restarting the main mDNS daemon restores Rendezvous
functionality. (Been OK for a week now.)

Restarting the SlimServer seems to make it fail again after a few hours.

Dave: is this on server only?
Comment 2 Dave Nanian 2005-03-12 05:32:58 UTC
This was on an mDNS some time ago. I'll regress against current Panther server.

(In other words, the mDNS daemon has been updated numerous times since this was reported...)

There's a new mDNS daemon in 6.2. Dave, can you confirm that this is fixed?
