Description ladefoged81 2009-12-13 08:17:06 UTC
I'm using a Transporter as preamp and a it's connected to a power amp.

When i'm using the Transporter as a DAC via optical cable it works perfectly when there is an incomming signal for the Transporter.

But when I turn the input signal off or disconnect the optical cable there is white noise and a clicking sound.
It's the same problem with all digital inputs on the Transporter. No signal or cable = noise.

Transporter firmware is 80 and Squeezebox Server is 7.4.1

I can't reproduce this on any of the units I have tried here. It might be more productive to contact support in case it's an issue with your unit.

I think it might be the combination of my equipment and the issue is digital noise, not the Transporter.
My amplifier and speakers are very wideband (speakers up to 50khz and amp up to 80khz). I've tried with another amplifier and there is not as much noise with that one.
I think the bug report should be closed / canceled for now.
