After upgrading to 7.4.2 (on Ubuntu) I noticed that my Japanese track tags were displaying poorly on my SB3.  I regressed back to 7.2.x and then forwards, trying to determine which server release broke the fonts.  I could never reproduce the problem, and it went away after reinstalling 7.4.2.

Last week, I reproduced it after installing 7.4.1 (on Windows).  The font artifacts appeared both on my SB3 and on SoftSqueeze devices, so I was able to get screenshots from a SoftSqueeze "transporter", which are here:

The problem seems to surface (randomly) after installing or updating the server, and it goes away after repeated re-installs.
