Alarm Enhancement
Last modified: 2011-11-22 12:14:21 UTC
I would suggest the following enhancement to the Alarm Function on the Squeezebox radio; Provide a setting to have the alarm followed by a back-up alarm tone. So, for example, at 6am the alarm sounds with one of my favorites. If I don't select either snooze or alarm off in __ minutes, the back-up alarm will sound. The purpose is to wake the user if he falls back to sleep while listening to his favorite station. This is similar to a setting on the Bose Wave Radio ("To set radio or CD followed by tone, select ....) Thanks, Tony
I have the same Wish, you maybe could change the heading to something like: Beep/tone after n minutes of playing "my favorites" My 'old' alarm clock had the option that after 8 minutes (user selected) of music, a beeping would trigger to wake me up if I fell back to sleep with the music playing. The nice SB Radio does not have this option. Yes; you can set 2 alarms but the down side with that is that I often goes up before the second alarm since I don't want to hear the beeping, then there is no way to stop the second alarm but "deactivate" it, and then I'm in the risk that I forget to activate it on the next evening and the whole thing with setting the days for the alarm is overplayed. Kind regards Daniel

Are you sure it doesn't already work this way? Or maybe it's just on the Radio. I sometimes let my alarm favorite play while I shower, dress, etc. At the end of the album the Radio starts playing that annoying little disco clip. Over and over and over.
