From sebp:

In case this helps, it looks like the latest Ubuntu release dropped vol_id in favor of blkid
Comment 2 Felix Mueller 2009-12-01 07:50:45 UTC
I already used added blkid to busybox for USB & SD Storage. I'll check that one out.
Comment 3 Felix Mueller 2009-12-01 14:37:30 UTC
This probably will take longer than initially expected. Busybox's 'blkid' implementation does not return 'type'. Only 'label' and 'uuid' are reported. Adjusting estimate.
Comment 4 Felix Mueller 2009-12-09 08:34:09 UTC
I tested ext2 and ext3 formatted SD card / USB stick on Fab4 r8203 successfully. They mounted just fine and music was playable from them. Also vol_id reported the correct format for both ext2 and ext3.

Please reopen if you find another case that doesn't work.

This bug has been marked fixed in a released version of Squeezebox Server or the accompanying firmware or mysqueezebox.com release.
