Bugzilla – Bug 15191
ext3 drives can't be mounted because they are reported as vfat by vol_id
Last modified: 2010-04-08 17:26:50 UTC
From sebp: In case this helps, it looks like the latest Ubuntu release dropped vol_id in favor of blkid
I already used added blkid to busybox for USB & SD Storage. I'll check that one out.
This probably will take longer than initially expected. Busybox's 'blkid' implementation does not return 'type'. Only 'label' and 'uuid' are reported. Adjusting estimate.
I tested ext2 and ext3 formatted SD card / USB stick on Fab4 r8203 successfully. They mounted just fine and music was playable from them. Also vol_id reported the correct format for both ext2 and ext3. Please reopen if you find another case that doesn't work.
This bug has been marked fixed in a released version of Squeezebox Server or the accompanying firmware or mysqueezebox.com release. If you are still seeing this issue, please let us know!
