Ticket# 091024-001124

SB Server 7.4.1 MAC and PC

Symptom:

When trying to seek through an MP3 Track using the FFWD button, the MP3 starts from beginning, plays for about 10-15 seconds, then jumps to the point of the song you tried to seek to.

Customer sent 3 files, but was only able to recreate the issue with one song.

Attached are file you can test.

Thanks,

LaRon

The problem exists with both FF and REW, and affects nearly but not quite all of my ripped files, which were ripped at 320 kbps CBR using Exact Audio Copy with LAME 3.98.

Purchased mp3s from Amazon Digital downloads are unaffected
Comment 6 Andy Grundman 2009-11-24 07:52:28 UTC
Hmm, I don't have any problems seeking in this file. Can you please run the latest 7.4.2 nightly build and attach a log of player.source set to INFO?
Comment 7 BLS Corp 2009-11-24 08:52:09 UTC
thank you Andy, I haven't done that before, can you tell me how to create that log?
Comment 8 Andy Grundman 2009-11-24 08:57:34 UTC
In the web UI, go to Settings -> Advanced -> Logging. Set player.source to INFO and click save.
Comment 9 BLS Corp 2009-11-24 12:01:17 UTC
Andy, happy to report that since installing the nightly build, the problem has gone away and all tracks are seeking properly as before.

Thanks very much for your help, I'm impressed by the speed and attention to detail provided by your team.
