Description gmxj007 2009-11-23 14:37:03 UTC
We used to be able to resize the SqueezePlay window in 7.3.x. This no longer works in 7.4.x+. Please allow resizing! It is very useful with large music libraries or with long track names (e.g., classical music).

The limitation on resizing was necessary for technical reasons on the intended target devices. In order for a reasonable solution on desktop, it would require a new skin specifically designed for the desktop.

The chances of that happening internally at Logitech are near nil, as it's never been given priority by project management. The prospects for a release quality Squeezeplay Desktop under the now much leaner engineering team are even dimmer.

Skins could be written by a 3rd party, but I'm also skeptical about that prospect because we've failed to get much traction on 3rd party development, made worse by our inability to get signoff on licensing the squeezeplay code under BSD. It's also a ton of work to make a functional skin, more than I'm guessing we're going to get from volunteer contributions.

Sorry for the not very pleasing answer. Trying to be truthful rather than give you false hope...
