Scanner Log

Running a scan on my music collection will randomly terminate soon after
starting giving the Summary message above. This has only happened after
installing MusicIP. The scan lasts anywhere between 2 seconds and 10 minutes,
although most last less than 1 minute.
I had heard about the MusicIP cache getting corrupted so redid the MusicIP
validation of my collection. It appears not to have made any difference.
The scan does not appear to terminate on the same song each time and I can see
no reference to a music file in the scanner log (attached).

This is on a new Hewlett Packard WHS.
I also have a laptop PC running Windows Vista Home Premium with the same
software versions of Squeezebox Server (7.4.1) and MusicIP (1.8) and have not
been able to reproduce this problem on that machine.

Not sure what else I can add. Please ask if you need any further infromation.

Regards

Steve

Please contact support: this is most likely due to your antivirus scanner.

Meant to say: support will be able to help you fix this issue in your AV product. Unless you're using MSE - which is so buggy it does ignore its own configuration :-(.

Thanks Michael,

That worked. I uninstalled McAfee Total Protection.
