Description Jim McAtee 2009-11-18 18:32:33 UTC
r8121 at the moment, but I've seen this several times recently. I go into My Music, drill down to an album, then to the track list and touch the first track to Play the album. It pushes right into the Current Playlist (instead of Now Playing), where it shows 'Empty'. And, of course, plays no music. If I back out and try again, it then works correctly.

I'm not positive, but this could be happening on the first attempt at using the Touch during the day, after a long period of no use.

Jim: QA just tested r8127, we are unable to replicate the issue.

Ben: your thoughts, have you seen this issue or know what to try to validate the issue?

I've not seen this bug, but the fails-after-idle-time description sounds like the smoking gun.

I saw a similar thing once on the controller - can't reproduce.

I stopped and the restarted the current track of a playlist from a sync'd SB3. (I think - don't take the details as correctly remembered). later, my controller showed the correct now playing but the playlist was empty, even though a track was playing. A reboot restored the correct playlist.

Moving lower-priority bugs to next target

This seems to work correctly these days (7.5.1 r30796). If anyone sees it again, please feel free to reopen.
