Description W92Neriah 2009-11-06 05:57:48 UTC
Hello folks, liking v7.4 overall and the work you have put in on the UI, network diagnostics etc. but I have an issue with 7.4 (maybe you have changed the UI and I need to work differently but do not know how?) . . . From my Squeeze Controller if I browse to "My Music" \ "Genres", select e.g. "Chillout" then press the play button (">"), all my albumns of this genre are queued and start to play. Life is good.

While the Chillout tracks are playing, I can then press the back button ("<-") on the controller, scroll down genres to e.g. "Classical" and then press the more/add button "+" on the controller to add to the 'ad-hoc' playlist just created for Chillout . . . the controller displays menu with "Play Next >", "Add to End >" & "Play >", so I can add my Classical tracks. This is all good so far :-)

PROBLEM: If I try the same with Music Folders, I can no longer add additional selections to an 'ad-hoc' playlist (used to be able to with v7.3). Here is how to reproduce: My music library is structured alphabetically e.g.

A\ABBA\1992 - Gold
A\AHA\1985 - Hunting High & Low
A\AHA\1986 - Scoundrel Days
A\AHA\1988 - Stay On These Roads
A\Air\1998 - Moon Safari
B\B-52s\1989 - Cosmic Thing
B\Beloved\1990 - Blissed Out
etc.

From my Squeeze Controller if I browse to "Music Folder", then "A" and select e.g. the "ABBA" folder, then press the play button (">"), all my ABBA albumns are queued and start to play. Life is good.

While the ABBA tracks are playing, I used to be able to press the back arrow on the controller, scroll down to e.g. "B", then "Beloved" and press the "+" button on the controller to add my Beloved albums to the 'ad-hoc' playlist just created for ABBA . . . but since upgrading to v7.4 (and 7.4.1), when I try to press the "+" button on the controller to add subsequent music folders, the folder list just 'nudges' to the right and nothing is added and no context-menu offered like you get when doing the same, but with Music Genres ("Play Next >", "Add to End >" & "Play >").

Strangely, if I browse down my Music Folder tree to individual tracks and press "+", I do get a context menu with "Add to End >", "Play Next >", "Play >" etc. - This is what I think needs to be displayed when you click on "+" with a Music Folder highlighted.

I have had a browse of your bug list and my problem may be related to 13855 (https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13855), but I am not sure, as you use a bunch of abbreviations I do not understand 8-o

When I called tech support, all they suggested was to downgrade to v7.3! Please can you have a look into this, as now I cannot quickly create an ad-hoc playlist :-(

Thanks in advance.

The problem you describe is indeed the same problem described in bug 13855. The conectext Menu is the menu needed to give you the "play..." options.
