Description kasper 2005-05-06 11:20:08 UTC
Sounds funny, but it's too easy to change the configuration of the Squeezebox!
We're deploying the Squeezebox at radiostations in Mali and when the computer is
not powered the Squeezebox will just wait for someone to press the right key and
start garbling the IP settings. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

BTW: The folks at the radio station I visited today were really happy with it -
at least until someone changed the settings and it wasn't usable anymore.

Sounds like a great application. Would you like some kind of PIN/password or is a simple on/off
setting enough?
Comment 2 kasper 2005-05-07 02:03:56 UTC
A PIN could really only be 0000, or maybe the number could be written under the
device. A simple ON/OFF would be easier to implement for you, but also easier to
use for the people in Mali. The question is however, in what way do you plan to
implement it?

Dean - I knew I'd see a bug for pin entry!
