Ticket #091006-001942

Windows XP
Dlink NAS (mapped drive)

*****From the Customer******

After updated to Squeezebox Server 7.4.1, the scanner only recognizes the logical patrician of an NAS drive, so if you use drive mapping in the field for music location it will scan the virtual drive location (mapped drive) AND the logical location and cause duplication of the music. So my 45K collection of music was seen as 60+ of music. There is a disconnect between the control panel and the web version. The web version of the browser shows the "J" drive (in my case) but
the control panel of the server only shows the "volume_1" (logical drive). I fixed it on my side by not using the "j" location and only pointing the logical location, which then scanned 1 copy of the music and fixed the issue.

*******

Please see attached Server and Scanner logs.

Thanks,

LaRon

Priority can be reviewed again after Michael's comments

Don't mix drive mappings and UNC paths. This most likely is caused by some playlists pointing to drive mappings or UNC (whatever the oppositve of the actual audiodir setting). This is not a 7.5 bug as per our definitions.

I'd recommend only using UNC paths, as the server if run as a service can't see mapped drives anyway.

This IMHO is not a bug, but a configuration issue.
