Bugzilla – Bug 15013
Facebook password limited incorrectly
Last modified: 2013-10-11 13:52:09 UTC
In setting up my Facebook account, I found that my 8-character password was not stored by the Controller. Either the Controller is limited to a 6-character password OR the 7th character in my password ("&") is taken as a string delimiter. I was able to connect to Facebook by shortening my password to 6 characters, not including the "&" character. Let me also request a related ENHANCEMENT: if Facebook connect fails, the email and password that the user has entered should NOT be ERASED, but rather made available for editing. It is no treat to enter a long email address repeatedly into the Controller. Thanks.
QA confirmed
Changing priorities due to management guidance.
Reported by CAT for Touch that character # is not accepted for Facebook passwords, even though it's OK. CAT PR2-0069
Moving lower-priority bugs to next target
I don't really understand why this is a low priority. Also passwords containing ";" are mangled. Please let us know who regarded this as low prio.

The annoyance of erasing the passward could be regarded as low priority. Imo the restrictions on the password are a is a serious bug.
Facebook is gone.
