Bugzilla – Bug 15011
Player Control Interface
Last modified: 2009-11-15 05:35:43 UTC
Having multiple SB devices (5 at present and growing by the day) I'd like to have a simple way to control all of them without individually selecting each from a dropdown menu (as in the standard UI). I'm thinking of something like the player control in iPeng for iPhone, which gives you control of power for each, volume for each, and (optionally) a 'master' volume control which adjusts all players. It would also be useful to control sync status, though this is less important in my case. Ultimately it would be nice to have this integrated in the standard web UI, but as an interim step a separate page might be an option.
makes a lot of sense... if u have two or more things "sync'd" then a "sync" page should be available to you so you can see them all at once and adjust each from the same spot. similarly, i'd like to see the ability to raise or lower the volume on all players at once, and to set all players to equal volume, (including mute/unmute via one button)
Note that we also should have a master volume control and still have relative control of each player, both in web-UI and controller and ir remote. With Master volume vs player volume I meam that when you sync the volume you should still have a relative control of each player too? the purpose is to fiddle in a relive volume that works with all your players, volume 50 is for exampel loud on my boom but not on my living room hifi.
