Bugzilla – Bug 14983
Make it possible to launch SlimBrowser applet from third party applets
Last modified: 2009-10-29 12:29:01 UTC
It would be a good idea if it were possible to launch the SlimBrowser applet from a third party applet at a specific context. As an example, the third party Album Flow applet makes it possible to browse albums, when I select an album I like to be able to list the tracks and from the track list launch context menus or play tracks. It would be perfect if the Album Flow applet could launch the SlimBrowser applet to show the track list of the selected track. At the moment it sounds like I'll have to re-implement the SlimBrowser logic inside the Album Flow applet to accomplish this. There is a "browserActionRequest" offered by SlimBrowser applet today which sound promising, but accoding to Ben this won't do what I want. I've hade some discussions with Ben in the following thread regarding this: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=478852
