Bugzilla – Bug 14924
Can't get SB Desktop player to work
Last modified: 2012-02-27 17:19:11 UTC
Initially squeeze play worked fine on my Mac. When we upgraded to Snow Leopard and upgraded to the 7.4 Logitech software we had to download the new squeeze play software and that worked fine until about the second week in October or thereabouts. After that point, I started getting a rotating circle whenever I would try to click on a piece of music to play it and it wouldn't play. I spoke with Logitech tech support today and they directed me to the web site where I downloaded a new copy of the beta software that was just updated today, and that doesn't work. I still get the rotating circle and it won't play music. When I tried to get it to find the player it said that it couldn't, so that might be the problem, however that doesn't explain why it initially worked fine and now it doesn't. Can you help me? The actual supported players (squeezebox classic and boom) work just fine.
Please uninstall SqueezePlay Desktop player from your system. Once you have done that, perform a clean uninstall by deleting all the stored preference files. You can fine instructions here: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezePlay After you have done that, you will want to download the same version of Squeezebox Server and SqueezePlay Desktop. You can not mix and match them, as this and other errors may occur. Once you have installed SBS and SPD onto your system, please test again. If you still have issue, please provide a Log file to the bug report.
