Malformed UTF-8 character (unexpected continuation byte 0xb4 with no preceding 
start byte) in unpack at /PerlApp/Slim/Display/Graphics.pm line70.

This message is repeated 4 time every time I start my slim.exe

W2k server. .exe version. 6.03 build 2895

I dont know if this is related to bug

with wide character error that is a blocker for me.

same error, same line so I'd call this a dupe.  its not the exact same character
that has caused this, but the fault will be the same so its easier to track
properly as a single bug. 

Are you using the rss screensaver? can you try unplugging all your players and
use only one at a time to try to isolate which player(s) cause this problem?
