Description Jonathan Tuliani 2009-10-22 15:11:09 UTC
On the startup UI, it took me FOREVER to realise that after a default install, I need to stop the SB Center from running before I can edit the startup options.

This seems unnecessary and perverse.

Agreed. It's very unintuitive. It's been mentioned in the forums by other users of the Control Panel.

Leave the startup options boxes enabled at all times. When the CP detects that the the startup options have been changed present the user with a dialog to restart the server to effect the changes. For simplicity you could even undo the changes if they refuse. Make sure that you inform the user when a username/password entered for a Windows Service fails and the service fails to start.

That's already fixed in 7.5 (change 28918)

This bug has been marked fixed in a released version of Squeezebox Server or the accompanying firmware or mysqueezebox.com release.
