Bugzilla – Bug 14874
Alarm settings - changing weekdays or activation-state doesn't update player display
Last modified: 2010-04-08 17:26:02 UTC
r7907: Alarm settings - changing weekdays doesn't update menu to reproduce: - create an alarm, set on monday - edit the alarm, set on tuesday, go one menu up (only doable with Back-Key ?) to see alarm overview - the alarm is still shown as 'monday' If you leave the alarm menu and go there again you will see the change to tuesday. Changing times works as expected - I can instantly see the changes on the alarm-overview.
Tested with r7915, works for me using the instructions as described in the bug. Please update to this firmware and test again.
I'm on 7.4.1 and r7915, did a factory reset as well. Radio is connected to MySB.com and its still not working. Maybe a bit more detailed: 1) Press Alarm-Button 2) Select existing Alarm 3) Select Choose Days 4) Choose some day and press knob to select/unselect 5) Press Back - you are in the menu of this specific alarm. In this menu on the top you still see the old alarm description scrolling (so wrong weekdays displayed) 6) Press Back - you are in the overview of all alarms. In this menu the alarm has still its old description (so wrong weekdays displayed) 7) If you press back again you are in the main menu. Pressing the 'Alarm-Knob' now results in the correct description.
Stefan: thank you for the updated explanation, this helps. You are correct in that the Player Display does not update properly when backing out of the menu. Following the instructions I am able to reproduce this on all SP based devices.
The same problem comes, when changing the 'activated'-state of an alarm. So: - prepare a disabled alarm - go to to change it to activated - press back key - pretend to be VERY confused, because the alarm you just edited still shows 'Alarm 1: Off' - edit the alarm again and pretend to be even more confused, because one menu down the alarm still is activated. I don't know if things that make you untrust the alarm-settings should be P3 and 4.7.5 only ?
