Description 2z8rvgk02 2009-10-21 02:56:41 UTC
The following podcast causes my device to hang:
http://74.220.219.54/~mvcfmast/realliferadio/mvcfpodcast.xml
Squeezebox Server shows the mp3s as 0.0MB. I can select one of
the mp3s from Squeezebox Server using the :9000 web interface and it
will play on the device. But if I browse my Poscasts from the device,
there is no song info for these mp3 entries, and trying to play
one causes the device to hang.

It seems that the xml is malformed because all of the links/titles have the
same target. Still it would be nice if it was playable since the
.mp3 enclosures are all correct.

Which SqueezeBox device are you using?
What firmwaer version is on the device?

Squeezebox3 with firmware v. 130 from server v. 7.4.0, but it was also happening with the firmware from server v. 7.3.x.

Please do a Xilinx reset on your SB3. I tested that podcast here, still unable to replicate the error.

If you still have issues, please include a Log file with the Log Files set to Internet Radio

Xilinx reset didn't help. What happens when I hit the Add or Play button on any of the podcast entries:
1) animated circle in the upper-left corner of SB3
2) SB3 won't respond to any commands from remote control
3) after several minutes, I see "Failed to parse" error if I press a key on
remote.

Here is what I found in the log:

[09-10-23 20:38:43.4381] Slim::Buttons::XMLBrowser::gotError (200) Error: While retrieving [http://www.mvcfmaster.com/messages/0servs/20090802SPM.mp3]: [Failed to parse]

Andy, your thoughts on this one? a bad podcast link or a fixable error?

The podcasts work for me, if I use SBS to start them.
