Description Matt Cuson 2009-10-19 22:08:13 UTC
After extended connection to Squeezebox server, Radio is unable to connect to mySbox.com. All services play properly but when you go into settings>advanced>networking>connect to mySB I get the bump. Reconnecting to the wireless network or switching to an alternate Sbox server doesn't clear the condition. Requires power cycle.

Wondering if this might be a condition introduced when the Sbox server system goes to sleep as I'm running a mac that cannot wake on wifi.

Matt: is the local server off line when you attempt to do this?

what does the diagnostics screen show?

what is the firmware version on the Radio?

I'm also running PBT2 (I get the nasty-gram saying some features won't
work). Wondering if my old unit won't connect but production units
will.

I have 2 units that have the problem (both PBT2).

Tom: your thoughts? what info does Matt need to get to properly diagnose the issue
Comment 4 James Richardson 2009-10-28 11:36:25 UTC
This is happening with all SP based devices, as well as with 7.5.0
Comment 5 James Richardson 2009-10-28 13:49:41 UTC
When I have seen this happen, Diag will show port 3483 as "Can't Connect"

Attached is a dump from /var/log/messages

Marked a speculative 12 hours since the source of the problem is unknown. Currently there is a theory that at least one cause of sn connection failure happens when an isp switches dhcp address. This has proven dificult to reproduce so far....

Unable to come up with a means to reproduce this. QA, can you come up with a way?

This user has not experienced Bug 14724 (considered a duplicate of this one) since the latest upgrades. Of course I can't say what others might be running into, but I am considerably happier. Mike

Tom: have a look at the forum post: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44629

While I have seen this behaviour myself, I doubt this should be blocking 7.5 from release. After all we don't want the user to switch to mysb.com manually any more. This is deep in the advanced/troubleshooting area.
