Description Kim Kruse Petersen 2009-10-18 08:05:57 UTC
Hi,

When artist fx is "Händel", it should be possible to search on "handel" or "haendel".

As far as memory serves me, it has been working for some versions ago.

Regards
Kim

what happens now when you search for Handel? is the term rejected or does "Händel" not show in the search result?

Hi,

Searching for "Händel" returns nothing in search result. Search with "Handel" returns "Handel" and not also "Händel".

Same goes for searching on "Haendel". Also empty result.

Kim

Kim: please upgrade to the release version of 7.4.1 r28947 and perform the search again.

Please include a log with the following set to Debug:

(database.info) - Metadata & Parsing Logging

(database.sql) - SQL Logging (Advanced)

Kim: Are you able to attach a test file?
Comment 5 Kim Kruse Petersen 2009-10-27 14:51:00 UTC
Hi James,

It is still not searching with correct result on the released version 7.4.1.

Let me try tomorow to attach a file with the logs.
Also I will try a total rescan of archive.

Regards
Kim

This works for me, for example I can search for "Budi" and get "Büdi Siebert" in the results.

However, I would not expect that you can search for "Haendel" and get "Händel".

Tested here with my Händel (Festival Barocco) test tracks, I was able to search for 'han' and get the correct search results returned for Händel

Please provide a test track, as well as logs, then reopen the bug.
