Windows uninstall fails to remove settings
Last modified: 2009-10-16 23:20:11 UTC
Uninstalling fails to remove Squeezeplay settings from \Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data. The Windows uninstaller should present an option to the user to remove all settings.
Michael: is this one yours, or Ben's to implement?
IMHO there are two issues: - SP should be using the same log/pref folder convention as SBS (probably Tom's) - installer needs to take care of this (me) - SP should be integrated with SBS anyway (me & Matt's) Oh, that's three. Whether this is 8.0 or 8.1 - I don't know.
Why should SqueezePlay be integrated with Squeezebox Server? Can't it remain a separate installation, with its own settings location? Integrating the two is almost guaranteed to cause more problems than it will solve.
> Why should SqueezePlay be integrated with Squeezebox Server? Can't it > remain a separate installation, Nothing's been decided yet. IMHO we could easily have both. > with its own settings location? It will. I said the same folders _convention_, not the same folder.
