Description Ian Stephens 2009-10-15 14:02:23 UTC
I am using the Windows Home Server Build 28861 version 7.4.1. When scanning music, the scanner stops with the following message:
Directory Scan (2654 of 3503) Complete 00:00:53
D:\shares\Music\The Mantovani Orchestra\Christmas With Mantovani Orchestra\13 White Christmas.wma
Music scan terminated unexpectedly (Directory Scan)
Total Time: 00:00:53 (Friday, October 16, 2009 / 6:56 AM)

The scan stops at a different place each time and stops whether run from the Web interface or from Server Control Panel

Scanner Log as requested

Please find attached log file as requested
Comment 3 Andy Grundman 2009-10-16 13:55:32 UTC
The last file in the log is D:\shares\Music\The Who\Who's Next\13 Baba
O'Riley.wma, this may be the problem file. Try temporarily changing the
extension on this file so the scanner ignores it, see if that helps. If so,
please attach the file so we can figure out why it's not scanning.

File causing scanner to stop

Andy,

You were correct, this file caused the problem. It is attached. It is a wma file renamed with extension zzwma.

Thanks, it also fails for me, should be easy to fix.
