New as in: Browse Music Folders didn't work in 7.4.0, now it does, but filenames are corrupted?

Answer: Exactly.
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2009-10-14 02:56:11 UTC
Ok, can confirm that with the internation settings in Windows set to use cp1251 (Cyrillic) the display is broken.
Comment 4 Michael Herger 2009-10-14 02:56:49 UTC
It's ok though if using some western encoding like cp1252. I hope to have a fix for the next nightly.

Some EVIL continue.

Before FIX: filenames encoding is corrupted , but TAGs were OK.
After FIX: filenames are shown correctly, but now same trouble with TAGs! - Tags encoding is corrupted.
Pls see attached pics.

Yes. Now I manuallly cleared datbase and rescanning again for sure.
Could inform results in ~55 mins.

Michael, I rescanned. I found very interesting thing: the phenomenon you can see on screenshots is ONLY FOR mp3 files. Any of FLAC files has correct Cyrillic view.
Note: Of course, before 7.4.0 all of these mp3s were showning correctly.
